Springer’s Humana Press Launches New Web
site
Entire catalog available online
NEW YORK (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) March 12, 2008 --
Humana Press, a publisher of medical and scientific books and journals
which was acquired by Springer Science+Business Media in September 2006,
is introducing its new Web site (www.springer.com/humana).
Springer Science+Business Media is one of the world’s
leading suppliers of scientific and specialist literature, and the
entire Humana Press catalog, which has been integrated with the Springer
portfolio, is available on the new Web site.
Humana Press’ new homepage includes featured
titles on a monthly basis, a conference schedule link, and links to its
three new free open access journals which will be launched in this year. “The
Protein Zone”, also reached through a link,
highlights recent publications related to proteins. “Services
for Authors,” which offers tips on book
promotion and other useful topics. A “Select
your subdiscipline” drop down menu features 32
areas of interest, and easy-to-navigate tabs include “News
and Highlights,” “Electronic
Products,” and “Our
Journal Collection.”

a core subscription product published under the Humana Press imprint.
Launched in January 2008, Springer Protocols is a unique research
methods database that operates outside of the journal and book searching
environment, and offers more than 18,000 searchable online protocols in
life sciences and biomedicine. The Web site includes the Methods in
Molecular Biology series, the Methods in Molecular Medicine series,
the Neuromethods series and more.
Links to full text from Humana Press books and journals are available on
SpringerLink (www.springerlink.com),
along with more than 1,500 peer-reviewed Springer journals and more than
22,000 eBooks, which can be purchased in their entirety or by chapter,
through Springer’s distribution partners.
