Travel Adventures, Inc. has announced a special student tour package for the 2009 Presidential Inauguration.

Lapeer, MI (PRWEB) May 28, 2008 -- Travel Adventures, Inc. has announced a special student group tour package to the Nation's Capital for Presidential Inauguration on January 20, 2009. The package provides student groups and educators a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to watch the exciting "Inaugural Parade", and the famous "Swearing in Ceremony." empower teachers to create change by expanding the classroom to the world.
"Because both middle and high school social studies curricula focus on U.S. History, this historic tour would be an ideal opportunity for students of all ages to combine the inauguration with additional attractions that reinforce their classroom lessons," remarked Dr. Dave Thompson, Educational Coordinator for Travel Adventures, Inc.

Top attractions which student groups can incorporate into their Inauguration tour include the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memorial, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, the Korean Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the Iwo Jima Memorial.

Student groups may also be interested in the Smithsonian Institution Museums where they can view the Wright Brothers1903 Flyer, the Spirit of St. Louis, the Apollo 11 Command Module Columbia, and a lunar rock sample at the Air and Space Museum. In addition, the Museum of American History and Museum of Natural History provide great historical insights.

Students may also stroll the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery and see the memorial to the Challenger Astronauts, both John F. Kennedy's and Robert F. Kennedy's grave sites, and the grave of Joe Louis the famous "Brown Bomber". Cap off your visit by watching the famous "Changing of the Guard" ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

Travel Adventures can also schedule side trips to Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, Gettysburg, and/or the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
