Advanced Technology Institute Announces Campus President

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) December 13, 2007 -- Advanced Technology Institute announces the appointment of Richard Dick Daigle as Campus President. Mr. Daigle brings a wealth of experience in advancing technical education to ATIs already successful training programs. Prior to joining ATI, Mr. Daigle was President of VCTech in Pelham, Alabama where he was pivotal in vastly expanding a curriculum which received national recognition from industry as well as industry publications.

Prior to that position, Mr. Daigle was a Regional Director of Admissions and Director of Education and Career Services, ultimately becoming Vice President of Operations for WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming. During that time, the automotive school tripled its student population, doubled its facilities size, and expanded from one to five locations locally. Mr. Daigle also assisted in expanding the school nationally by managing the opening of a Pennsylvania campus.

Mr. Daigle began his career in the Marine Corp. as a Heavy Truck Mechanic. After completing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Education and Technology, he received a commission in the Air Force. There he served 20 years as an Instructor, Navigator, Manager, and Director before retiring.

This year, Advanced Technology Institute is celebrating its 35th Anniversary. Since its founding in 1972, ATI has provided hands-on career training in the areas of Automotive Technology, HVAC and Refrigeration, Diesel/Heavy Vehicle Technology, Welding, and Tractor-Trailer/Commercial Driving. Graduate employment services are also provided. Advanced Technology Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT).
