Title IX, also known as the Patsy T. Mink Equal Opportunity in education Act, ensures that no person, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

"I came across this issue while doing research for my new book, Chickonomics, and was furious!" exclaims Orrell. Deborah Larkin's extensive women's rights background more than qualifies her to discuss this topic.
