YourTownMall's mission has been to "put local information at your fingertips". The next generation of YourTownMall now puts international, national and local information at the user's fingertips. A major change is the reformatting of the portal as well as the local sites. The new format was created so that when you visit the homepage, you will have a better understanding of the wealth of information at YourTownMall. YourTownMall had received over 30 million unique visitors within its first nine months on the Internet, using the .net domain extension.
The process of creating a more interactive and information packed network of websites was started. In early December of 2006, "The New YourTownMall was launched.
