2008 Holiday Niagara Entertainment Includes Winter Festival of Lights & New Year's Eve in Niagara Falls with Supertramp

Niagara Falls, Ontario (PRWEB / PRWEB) December 2, 2008 -- The 2009 holiday season brings more than Santa to Niagara Falls, Ontario. The holidays also bring with them some of the most exciting Niagara entertainment of the year. The 2009 events include everything from the renowned Winter Festival of Lights to a free concert on New Year's Eve with headliner Rodger Hodgson of Supertramp.

Niagara Falls events for the holidays are already underway with the Winter Festival of Lights. The festival runs through January 5, 2009 and features 125 animated lighting displays and three million sparkling tree and grounds lights. The Festival spans the Niagara Parkway with 5 kilometers (3 miles) of lights including the Enchantment of Disney® display and the Great Canadian Outdoors with 220,000 LED tree lights on Dufferin Island. Each year over 1 million residents and visitors experience this favourite of Niagara attractions. Admission is free but donations are accepted.

The New Year's Eve Concert 2009 features free live performances in Queen Victoria Park at the Falls. This year's New Year's Niagara entertainment includes Kim Mitchell and Supertramp front man Roger Hodgson along with country singer Justin Hines. A magnificent Niagara Falls fireworks display will ring in 2009.
