WorthPoint Names Bernard Ferret as Vice President, Product Management

Reston-based WorthPoint Corporation has named veteran international
technology executive Bernard Ferret as Vice President, Product
Management.

Ferret has more than 20 years of experience in the development and
marketing of major software and data communications products. He served
for nearly 10 years as Founder and CEO of Fairfax-based InterQuery
Software. Previously, he was director of marketing at Datametrics
Systems Corporation, a $20-million performance-management software
company, and founding partner, senior vice president and COO of
Monumental Network Systems, a regional Internet Service Provider.
Earlier, Ferret served as director of technology and business
development for Digital Analysis Corporation, which was acquired by
Legent in 1994.
A native of France, Ferret came to the U.S. with French systems
integrator Marben Group, a world leader in communications software, to
direct the firm's entry into the U.S. market. Bernard holds a Master's
degree in Physics from the University of Provence, France, and an MBA
from the College of William & Mary.
WorthPoint, founded in January 2007, is a database and media company for
the collectibles industry. Its Web site (www.worthpoint.com)
catalogues and tracks the sales history and current value of antiques
and collectibles from around the world, and makes this information
available to everyone. The site features a library of information called
the "Worthopedia"; a team of experts in a wide range of antiques and
collectibles called "Worthologists"; online communities, and news of
upcoming auctions and events. WorthPoint has forged business
partnerships with the School of Management at George Mason University in
Fairfax, Virginia, and the Advanced Technology Development Center at the
Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta.
